SherlockTalent is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect with substantial exposure in the setup, design, and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure and application solutions in an Azure and/or AWS environment.
The ideal candidate will understand cloud infrastructure architecture and lead the team on the first of many applications going into the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Primary key: having the ability/agility to provide technical guidance to the IT/Network/IT Security teams while being able to effectively communicate and interpret business requirements with the business stakeholders
- Serve as the internal “cloud” infrastructure expert to help vet vendor recommendations
- Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance, network security, and internal controls, assuring they have the appropriate “guardrails” in place
- Strong technical skills, with preference given to those with Azure experience (having both Azure and AWS experience would be a significant plus)
- Hands-on experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or current hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of cloud architecture experience
- 3+ years of cloud infrastructure experience
- Microsoft Azure Cloud experience
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience a big plus
- Prior experience in mortgage servicing/finance industry would be a plus
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) experience
