vBeers / ITBeers South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale)
Feb 12 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
vBeers / ITBeers South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale) @ Funky Buddha Brewery | Oakland Park | FL | US

vBeers / ITBeers in an informal, after work, peer-to-peer networking event for senior IT professionals – technical people who have been in Enterprise IT for at least 5 years.

Hang out with IT friends and colleagues after work! I host two events each month:

  1. Funky Buddha 2nd Wednesday of each month.
  2. Biergarten Boca 3rd Wednesday of each month.

At The Funky Buddha I usually grab a table at the back of the tap room, near the hallway to the meeting and games area.

The tap room has great wi-fi and a pleasant ambiance for anyone who wants to arrive early and work of their laptop instead of dealing with commuter traffic. I try to be on-site by 4:00 PM at my co-working space with beer instead of coffee!

The Funky Buddha now has a full restaurant license so they serve food, beer, wine and spirits. Happy hour menu is from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM and includes a Spent Grain Pretzel and a Pub Burger for $6 each. There are also Happy Hour drinks.

Create and launch your own NFT Collection in 7 days 💡 – Part 1
Feb 27 @ 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Create and launch your own NFT Collection in 7 days 💡 - Part 1 @ Online event

What are NFTs you ask? You’re not the only one.

Non-Fungible-Tokens (NFTs) are essentially certificates of ownership for any digital content, and can be bought and sold like any other piece of property. While most digital content can be copied and shared countless times, the buyer of an NFT owns a “token” which proves that they own the “original” work.

Thanks to smart contracts, creators of digital content who sell their work as NFTs can get a cut of any future sale of the token. Anyone can create an NFT, and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing in this 2-part NFT workshop series!

We’ll explore:

✅ NFTs in-depth
✅ NBA Top Shot, BAYC, Crypto Punks and other successful projects
✅ Smart contracts
✅ How to sell an NFT Popular NFT marketplaces
✅ How to promote an NFT collection Popular
✅ NFT release features
✅ Which blockchains to consider launching on

Part 2, will involve creating and launching a collection without writing code! We’ll learn about and use tools that will allow us to:

✅ Create NFT image layers
✅ Blend them together to produce 3,5 or even 10k unique variations
✅ Upload to decentralized storage (IPFS)
✅ Create and deploy the smart contract
✅ Create a minting website (dApp) and wire it up to the smart contract

Ready?! 🙌

All you need to attend is your laptop, a wifi connection and a willingness to be inspired to get your NFT creativity on! All are welcome too, so tell your friends, your family and even your loud-at-times neighbours 📢
