When will the fun ever stop! It seems there is no end the number of extraordinary events taking place in South Florida. February sees CodeCamp, the Sunshine PHP conference and SuperConf, between them, expected to draw about 2000 South Florida IT Professionals. In addition to these mega-events there are many smaller events and user group meetings hosted by local industry leaders offering great opportunities to network with local tech experts. Goodbye to Hank Asher "Father of Data Fusion" Staff reporter |
Technology entrepreneur and philanthropist Hank Asher died Friday at 61. Asher was the mastermind behind Database Technologies and Seisint, data-mining companies that were sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. In late 2008, he started Boca Raton-based, data-mining company TLO. John Walsh, host of “America’s Most Wanted,” credits Asher as having “single-handedly changed the way law enforcement globally hunts for child predators on the Internet.” More.. |

Code Camp is a FREE one day GEEK FEST held on Saturday February 9, 2013 at Nova University – Carl DeSantis Building. The event will have speakers from the local community and beyond. Speakers will be presenting some of the most requested topics like Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, ASP.NET, Javascript, JQuery, Visual Studio 2012, MVC Framework, Sharepoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012. This event is like Tech-Ed for Free but it’s community driven by a group of dedicated volunteers and speakers. Breakfast and lunch is included!
