The South Florida Technology Alliance would like to invite you to join us for our first ever “GetITGirl” event!
GetITGirl is SFTA’s NEW initiative with a focus on women in leadership, technology, and engineering roles. Our goal is to bring more diversity to the local workforce by increasing opportunities for women, developing tomorrow’s leaders through continued education, and creating a network of women in South Florida who can support each other through our journeys.
More and more companies are offering programs that support women such as childcare, nursing rooms, better maternity leave, and work from home options. We speak a lot about wanting employers to be more diverse and supportive of women, especially in leadership and technology roles where men are more prominent. We will have a panel discussion with local leaders what we would like from employers and what we need in order to increase the number of women in male-dominated roles.
The event will be held at the beautiful and private Tower Club – Ft. Lauderdale on International Women’s Day!
