Our congratulation to Robert Strandberg who is appointed by The Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida as its new President & CEO. Florida is Top State For Startup Creation
Our friends at The Launch Pad must be making an impact because according to the "Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity" Florida is a top state for new startups. "Entrepreneurial activity rates reflect changing demographics," said Robert W. Fairlie, the study’s author and director of the master’s program in applied economics and finance at the University of California, Santa Cruz. "Despite a slight decline in entrepreneurial activity rates this year, the share of new 55- to 64-year-old entrepreneurs has risen from 14.3 percent in 1996 to 20.9 percent in 2011 due to an aging U.S. population."
