This is a 4 month Contract-to-Hire opportunity. No sponsorship is available when this position converts to Full Time Employee. 
 
The QA Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex implementations. The QA Analyst works collaboratively within the IT department and business units to execute and validate test cases based upon system requirements. 
 
Required: 
Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying sizes
Review user requirements documents to ensure requirements are testable 
Experience as a QA Analyst or Tester 
Manual and Automation Testing experience 
Strong SQL experience

Project Manager, IT Security

Type: Contract/Temp to Perm

SherlockTalent is seeking a seasoned IT Security Project Manager who will be responsible for managing and delivering one or more IT/Information Security project(s), within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost associated with the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning: Facilitate cross-team planning and estimation of your IT Security projects. Facilitate scope discussions and help ensure there is alignment on what is in scope across the involved teams and leadership.
  • Prioritization: Help facilitate prioritization conversations if resource contention, or other project-related issues, arise. Facilitate appropriate escalation to leadership if conflicts cannot be resolved.
  • Project Management: Manage and monitor inter-connected IT/Security projects across various teams to ensure dependencies are exposed and scope is well understood.
  • Track and monitor project status, ensuring risks are reviewed & mitigated, issues are escalated & resolved, and changes are documented & approved (utilizing their PPM solution).
  • Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, with key stakeholders, to help ensure a holistic and thorough solution/view of your project(s).
  • Ensure proper and timely project communication to all internal and external stakeholders (status reports, steering committee, resource managers, etc).
  • Facilitate reviews of your Security projects with Sr Management, as needed.
  • Team Structure & Staffing: Ensure your project teams are adequately staffed for the flawless execution of Security projects. Forecast and track team resource needs.
  • Budget Management: Proactively and accurately manage your Security project financials to meet department planning, forecasting, and reporting deadlines.
  • Risk Management: Own tracking and mitigating risk & issues across your Security project(s).
  • Communications Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams involved with information security (e.g., IT, Business, Networking, Systems, Finance, Vendors, etc).
  • Acts as a steward of the company in ensuring that Security project budgets, under your management, are best utilized to achieve stated scope so that anticipated benefits are realize.
  • Accountable for delivery of Security projects within budget, on schedule, and of quality.
  • Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of Information Security experience.
  • 5+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing small teams and projects.
  • Relevant certification in project management (preferred).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills required.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Familiarity with PPM solutions (e.g., Workfront, Jira) for managing projects.
  • Deep and broad experience with IT environments including network, data centers and related technology applications.
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks such as with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management, project management, and leading through influence.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical peers and management; experience at building effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Proactive, self-starter able to jump in, ramp-up and lead without a lot of oversight or direction.
  • Must have ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities to meet organizational goals.
  • Remains current with industry trends, especially as related to contemporary project management techniques as they impact corporate objectives.

Telecom Engineer

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

SherlockTalent is hiring a Telecom Engineer that reports to the Manager of Telecommunications acts as a resource for the telecom infrastructure and operations support for the telecom platform.  They will comfortably interact with all levels of technical and business organizational hierarchy and manage external vendors to facilitate the delivery of a consistent, reliable telecom platform. 

  1. This is a hands-on position with support responsibilities that participates in the overall strategic direction for our telecommunications department. This includes partnering with our business units to understand requirements, present recommendations and implement appropriate solutions.
  2. Participates in the design, implements and supports Avaya enterprise PBXs, contact center telephony infrastructure, CTI and call recording applications which supports multiple call centers across our enterprise
  3. Supports the planning, design, implementation and management of projects such as system upgrades, system conversions and new products and services
  4. Consults with our business partners to act as a resource, to assist in defining scope, budget and schedule estimates for telecommunications projects. Support business objectives and align with company goals
  5. Create, modify, and troubleshoot Avaya vector programming for touch middle environments.
  6. Support our project management resources to develop VoIP infrastructure and associated software requirements for RFPs
  7. Assists with the planning, design and implementation of tools, utilities, monitoring and documentation of the telecommunication infrastructure.
  8. Provides tier 1 support to other team members; facilitates workflow between network, security and other groups within IT.
  9. Creates and maintains system documentation including system requirements, design, implementation plans, project financials and infrastructure standards. Partner on the creation and operationalize processes for daily support, management, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, backups for the infrastructure.
  10. Create and maintain all VoIP infrastructure and network design artifacts.
  11. Monitor, distinguish and make proposals on redressing any framework capacities and any execution issues with the telecon framework. Take remedial activities to guarantee a solid and steady stage over our undertaking. 
  12. Collaborate with all IT management, staff and external vendors to for voice infrastructure installations or software upgrades.
  13. Collaborate with Service Desk staff and end-users to resolve high priority trouble tickets and support junior engineers to quickly identify and resolve work orders.
  14. Ability to participate in multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  15. Ability to assist in analyzing our infrastructure and invoices to identify and make recommendations on decreasing cost while maintaining or improving the quality of service.

Other Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collaborate on disaster recovery planning and testing to identify gaps, corrective action and risk options
  2. Coordinate and perform telecom audits as needed
  3. Is available 24 x 7 to provide support as needed
  4. Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company
  5. Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company
  6. Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required

Type of experience:

  1. Knowledge of administering multiple call Center environments
  2. Basic understanding data networking
  3. Knowledge of Avaya CM platforms, VoIP servers, ACD call routing, network regions, trunk group configuration, signaling protocols, ability to implement and troubleshoot dial plans, ARS and AAR plans
  4. Understanding of call recording systems, quality monitoring
  5. Knowledge of computer security as it relates to defense of VoIP networks
  6. Basic system administration for Windows and Linux systems to support the telephony environment
  7. Ability to research new technologies and stay abreast of latest industry trends
  8. Effective written and oral communications across all levels of business and IT hierarchy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Experience in managing Avaya VoIP Communication Manger, CMS Voice Mail, Verint/Witness, Call Copy, and/or Presence systems
  2. Working knowledge of PSTN circuit architecture and networking
  3. Abilities to perform MDF to IDF wiring punch downs utilizing 110 and 66 block infrastructure
  4. Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, practices and protocols
