The PMI South Florida Chapter Project Management Day of Excellence is one of the premier Project Management events held annually in South Florida.

This year’s theme, “How to Generate Growth and Job Opportunities in South Florida”, started with a Think Tank event to help provide answers to the above topic.  As a follow-up event, the Day of Excellence will allow attendees to apply lessons learned by attending workshops, coaching sessions and a career day forum.  Project management professionals will be able to manage their employability, learn of opportunities in the South Florida region, advance their careers, learn new skills and stay current with industry and employment trends.  The career day forum will be a venue, where hiring companies in S. Florida can tap into over 350 project management professionals.

The Day of Excellence is a South Florida PMI community outreach program to help build the bridge of growth and job opportunities among all participants. Why should you attend as a participant?  You can visit our sponsors, attend career day workshops and learn about our South Florida Chapter professional and program offerings including discounts on training, certifications and Professional Development Units (PDUs). You will learn about academic programs and have the opportunity to enroll to earn a degree. In addition, you will be able to talk to recruiters to obtain short term or long term assignments as an employee, consultant or independent contractor.

PMI certified professionals can earn up to 4 PDUs during the Day of Excellence by attending various speaker sessions and workshops! Student attendees will obtain knowledge of different academic programs and certification paths available for those interested in a career in Project Management.  Furthermore, attendees can obtain career advice from seasoned industry professionals through presentations, workshops and 15-minute one-on-one coaching sessions in a variety of areas including resume review, job search strategy and interviewing skills.
