Now more than ever, testing has becoming a critical part of the software development lifecycle. Particularly in the .NET ecosystem, we’ve seen a in the growth in the available libraries and tools at our disposal to assist us in writing better tests. With the release of Visual Studio 2012, Microsoft has introduced many improvements in the tool with respect to it’s support for testing our applications. In this talk, we’ll highlight some of the changes and new features that were introduced to improve the testing experience for developers. Some of the things we’ll touch on include the new test runner, support for mocking, and test framework extensibility.
Speakers:
Cecil Phillip is a Programmer Analyst at Nova Southeastern University. For over five years, his primary role has been developing web based solutions for internal and also external clients using the .NET Framework. Cecil’s current tool-set of choice comprises of C#, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, Entity Framework and SQL Server. He also enjoys experimenting with different programming languages, design patterns and application architectures.
