Welcome to 2018 and the year ahead.
I’m sure the younger versions of ourselves recall a future packed with rocket cars, communicators, space stations, and robots; well, welcome to the future!
While not all of our childhood sci-fi promises have come true, many are here today with the promise of more to come.
Okay, we don’t have rocket cars but I think it’s fair to say that all-electric vehicles are going mainstream with most manufacturers promising all-electric models by 2020. Now if only we could get a 1960’s style Presidential Decree that launched the US into the space race and made billions of dollars available to do it.
If you haven’t looked at Apples latest version on the Watch, then you’ve missed the communicator part of our future. Now with cellular technology embedded, you can make and receive calls without taking your iPhone along.
Probably the biggest innovation to shape our future for generations to come will be Artificial Intelligence. While still in its infancy, this technology will enable the fusion of software and hardware to deliver as yet untold value to our daily lives.

We are looking for a MS SQL Server DBA to support, refine and enhance a custom sales & marketing centered BI application.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Maintain existing SQL structures and code, SSIS ETL packages and custom SSRS reports.
- Customize and reconfigure reporting, based on direct business interaction
- Assist in data modeling and data analysis
- Interface with (ETP) in support capacity for database, ETLs and reporting.
- Adhere to and perform within development, deployment and support policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Skills and experience required for this position:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Mathematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- 2+ years of hands-on, experience architecting and managing databases.
- Proficient with SQL design principles (MS-SQL 2008/2016).
- Preferred development experience with .Net (C#, VB, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macros
- 2+ years of experience with SSRS/SSIS, experience with Tableau a plus
- Huge plus, experience with HMTL report and presentations controls
- Being able to analyze, define problems, collect data, interpret common sales performance metrics,
- Experience with Consumer Product sales and/or Beverage industry is a plus.
