The Akka project contains a collection of libraries that can work together in order to create high performance applications without the hazards of managing concurrent code.
In this event we are going to look at the main components of Akka. We are going to walk you through Akka I/O, Akka Streams and Akka HTTP by building example applications. In order to see how all the Akka components work together, we are going to look at the Akka Cluster component by integrating each of the previous component within Akka Cluster.
Location: We’ll be meeting at the Microsoft Innovation Center at Venture Hive. The Microsoft Innovation Center in Miami (MIC Miami) is a state-of-the-art technology facility open to students, software developers, academic faculty, entrepreneurs, and startups for collaboration and skills development. Microsoft Innovation Center at Venture Hive is located at 1010 NE 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33132. There’s limited parking in front of Venture Hive. If that lot is full there’s an empty lot directly behind the Venture Hive building.
