Delivery Project Manager

Our client in the Greater Detroit Area is seeking a Delivery Project Manager that will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering solution to customers on time, quality, scope and budget. The Project Manager is expected to collaborate with customers, third-party vendors, regional teams, engineering groups, product management, marketing and technical support stakeholders. The PM will be engaged in a project from the pre-sales, process through initial requirements analysis and efforts estimate, solution design and architecture, implementation, delivery and customer sign-off.


  • Plan and execute complex projects according to strict deadlines, budget and quality benchmarks
  • Facilitate meetings, discussions and planning workshops to understand dependencies across all stakeholders in the program
  • Develop and manage plans that align with customer, supplier, and internal timelines
  • Facilitate working meetings and status meetings as appropriate throughout the project, proactively identifying and taking action required across multiple work streams in the project to keep delivery on schedule
  • Effectively manage and communicate project tasks and commitments with project team members and stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and multiple internal teams; professionally representing both points-of-view to the other parties in negotiations
  • Manage customer expectations, through tight collaboration with Solution Management, R&D and Sales teams
  • Work closely with customers (both technical and executive level) to understand the requirements in a wide view, and develop effective working relationships
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, and competition for resources between projects
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and crises, and devise contingency plans as needed
  • Be actively involved in optimizing and improving work process and methodologies. Conduct Lessons Learnt and Post Sales sessions for continuous improvement

Required Experience

  • 3-years of hands-on experience in managing complex software projects (preferably both client and server-side development and integration)
  • 3-years of experience managing automotive software development projects involving multiple suppliers
  • Experienced in vehicle program milestones and supplier
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple, concurrent software development and/or integration projects


  • Software engineering/ Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong technical background in software/ automotive industry
  • Customer facing experience
  • Desire to proactively and flexibly take on new challenges, applying experience
  • PMI/PMP certified an advantage
  • Able to travel approximately 10%
