Location: Bay Area, CA, 3 days a week onsite
Job Type: Founding Level SWE, Full Time
Salary: Founders-level equity and $200K-$250K+

API Engineer Web Services for Cloud Native AI SAAS – You will develop and maintain application layer APIs, facilitate data flow into the application database, build endpoints for platform integrations, and manage background jobs and AI agent coordination.

Skills & Responsibilities:

Design and implement GraphQL or RESTful APIs with Python and Golang for internal and external integrations

Pull ingested data into the application database and develop endpoints for Slack and Salesforce integrations.

Shared responsibilities with Full-Stack Engineer and front end engineer

Manage background workers and asynchronous job processing using tools such as Kafka, Celery or RabbitMQ

Integrate AI models and agents into the application layer. (In collaboration with the full-stack engineer and Data Scientists

Lead decisions on API and queue stack choices and align API architecture with system design

Collaborate with Infrastructure & Data Engineer and Full-Stack Platform Engineer to support integrations
Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred
