SherlockTalent is looking for a motivated Release Coordinator to join a fast-paced team in Miami. Ideal candidate will be responsible for the release of systems and functional updates to the production website.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios
  • Responsible for creating, reviewing, publishing and managing release plans
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Determine the readiness of each release based on quality criteria, production readiness, rollout and back-out plans and risk management plan
  • Facilitate all requests for change (RFC) through the enterprise change management process
  • Serve as the official communication point for release communications
  • Communicate with the product teams on milestones for each planned release date
  • Manage larger stakeholder communication for the release activities
  • Participate in and coordinate release preparation ceremonies
  • Work with the product teams to understand what scope is being targeted for each planned release dates
  • Environment negotiation in Scrum of Scrums
  • Code freeze scope definition
  • Analyze issues in existing software
  • Monitor each release until completion
  • Follow up on any issues/concerns resulting from the release
  • Track metrics to ensure release health
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years’ experience of Customer Software support, troubleshooting and system testing
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Large enterprise environment
  • A sound understanding of Release Process
  • Experience with tracking all work through Jira
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple releases concurrently
  • Strong passion to follow agile practices and release train methodology
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
