Junior Salesforce Administrator Contractor

Our client in Broward is seeking a Salesforce Contractor to administer the Salesforce CRM application and manage data company-wide. Working under supervision of the Senior Salesforce Administrator, this position will provide administration service supporting senior management, finance, operations, the information technology group and the users of Salesforce applications.

You’ll be working closely with fellow employees to ensure that Salesforce applications meet their needs and keep pace with changes in business operations, policies and/or procedures.  You'll thrive in this fast-paced environment.  You will be a catalyst for change. 

The candidate will be the main support person, reporting to the SalesForce.com Administrator, for critical SalesForce.com functions. 

  • Coordinate and support of Salesforce implementation including but not limited to managing multiple user setup, profiles and roles, customize objects, fields, record types, page layouts, workflow and validations;
  • Work with management, and end-users to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers;
  • Develop, create and schedule running of customized reports and dashboards;
  • Design technical architecture solutions that may span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems
  • Manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale
  • Articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for a technical architecture.
  • Create and document Salesforce application requirements by working together with those involved in the development of program enhancements and changes including program staff, programmers, strategic planning and analysis staff and/or outside consultants as needed;
  • Manage the Salesforce testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating actual software testing;
  • Keep on top of new Salesforce features and functionality, providing recommendations for process improvements;
  • Train new and existing users on how to use Salesforce applications;
  • Keep application users informed about system functionality and enhancements;
  • Provide Salesforce users with technical support;
  • Log and track identified system problems through resolution;
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users as database applications are developed;
  • Assist the Information Technology group with the development of technical documentation of existing and future applications.


  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or,
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent education and/or  
    Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM201)
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (ADM211) is a huge bonus
  • Salesforce Certified Developer (DEV401) or Salesforce Platform App Builder is a plus

In this cycle of growth, BFS Capital seeks a VP of IT to spearhead important IT initiatives at BFS, direct and guide technology development to benefit BFS networks and customers.  Guided by industry best practices, the VP IT will optimize BFS’s infrastructure and processes, supporting productivity and customer satisfaction. 
Reporting Relationships
The VP of Information Technology (“VP IT”) will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with BFS executives to keep BFS at the forefront of the small business lending community, in terms of its technical and customer service skill.  The VP IT will oversee all aspects of Information Services and Security for all of the BFS operating entities, including the US based and international operating subsidiaries. 
The Opportunity
BFS seeks a knowledgeable, hands-on IT leader immersed in the best technology practices available to support BFS’s expansion and related technology and security needs.  Specifically, the VPIT will take charge of key technology decisions, manage software development and support the implementation of SalesForce.com on a company-wide basis.  At the core of the VPIT’s activity, will be the charge to keep BFS current, applying best-in-class practices to small business lending.    
Primary Responsibilities
The VP IT will:

  • Collaborate with the COO and other executive management to develop a strategic and innovative development roadmap designed to both anticipate and exceed the technology needs of a rapidly expanding BFS
  • Manage current and ongoing software development at BFS
  • Support the implementation of SalesForce.com
  • Oversee the management of all existing and future infrastructure, web development, database, network operations, and telecom support
  • Ensure all applications, architectures, technologies, and infrastructures are compliant and meet data security best practices
  • Analyze and recommend critical build/buy decisions, identifying necessary upgrades and managing critical vendor relationships
  • Attract, motivate, and retain the additional critical IT talent to encourage professional development
  • Ensure that BFS meets its corporate IT objectives and that all system function at optimal levels with maximum security at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s Degree a plus
  • 5+ years senior level experience
  • 10+ years in Information Services, preferably in a Financial Services company
  • Software development and SalesForce.com experience necessary
  • Strategic, team player with the ability to translate corporate goals into active IT tasks
  • Embraces change and thrives in an energetic, growing organization
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
  • Creative, pro-active planner; will address both existing and emerging IT needs
  • Brings a sense of urgency and prioritization to the tasks at hand
  • Excellent communication skills in speech and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service emphasis
