BI Analyst

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Coral Gables, FL
3 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation
: $40-60 per hour

SherlockTalent is seeking a BI Analyst who will be responsible for Data Warehouse and non-Data Warehouse BI Systems Development with Diver Platform knowledge. Must be able to asses and cultivate strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end-users, managers, clients and stakeholders. Huge plus if you have Healthcare, Cerner, and Tableau experience. Strong project management skills and experience in all stages of development life cycle required.

Responsibilities

  • Main responsibility is to strategically design and implement BI applications, including integration with databases and data warehouses. This includes gathering requirements, selecting, blueprinting, designing, testing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users.
  • Verify test data to ensure data reliability and integrity within and between applications are carried out to BI/DW applications
  • Create reports and report templates
  • Design, code, extract, manipulate, and load into a data model/data warehouse
  • Troubleshoot BI tool problems and tune for performance
  • Analyze and validate data and document all new or modified BI systems
  • Validate data accuracy and build reconciliation processes as needed
  • Design and deliver end-user training and training materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Must have knowledge of relational Database Management and Data Warehouse Architecture
  • Experience in BI Tools such as Diver Platform and Tableau
  • Experience in Clinical and Healthcare IT preferred
  • Cerner database software experience a huge plus

Senior Data Warehouse Specialist

Job Title: Senior Data Warehouse Specialist
Location: Coral Gables, FL

: $45-55 per hour

SherlockTalent is seeking a Senior-Level Data Warehouse Specialist that can gather, analyze and understand business requirements. Ideal candidate must be efficient with ETL processes and Informatica environments. Must also follow best practices, guidelines / procedures and naming conventions with enterprise-wide data collection and extraction. Serve as senior lead with excellent technical skills in data warehousing and leadership/mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in translating business needs into technical solutions and designing relational and/or dimensional models or flat files to meet project requirements. Lead the effort to perform source system data profiling including structure, data, and relationship discovery; be responsible for understanding source system database structures and underlying data and knowledge transfer expertise to DW team members.
  • Lead the efforts in developing, managing and updating conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Lead the efforts to design, develop, maintain, test and modify ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) processes with efficiency and best practices
  • Lead the efforts in documenting ETL technical design process, high level and detailed metadata and reconciliation process
  • Lead production support for all existing DW applications; respond to job failure related text page and/or emails in a timely manner for critical DW applications
  • Scope, plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects; improve efficiency by working on other assigned tasks/projects while waiting for information on the certain project(s)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience required
  • 12 years of experience in IT with relational database management systems (RDBMSs)
  • 10 years of experience with Informatica or comparable tool 
  • 8+ years of dedicated end-to-end data warehouse implementation experience
  • Solid experience using SQL, ER Studio, and Unix shell scripting
  • 5+ years of experience with data warehouse or ETL architecture design required
  • Knowledge of the health care business processes and terminology and strong project planning skill is required.

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect

SherlockTalent is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect with substantial exposure in the setup, design, and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure and application solutions in an Azure and/or AWS environment.

The ideal candidate will understand cloud infrastructure architecture and and lead the team on the first of many applications going into the cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary key: having the ability/agility to provide technical guidance to the IT/Network/IT Security teams while being able to effectively communicate and interpret business requirements with the business stakeholders
  • Serve as the internal “cloud” infrastructure expert to help vet vendor recommendations
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance, network security and internal controls, assuring they have the appropriate “guardrails” in place
  • Strong technical skills, with preference given to those with Azure experience (having both Azure and AWS experience would be a significant plus)
  • Hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of cloud architecture experience
  • 3+ years of cloud infrastructure experience
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud experience
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience a big plus
  • Prior experience in mortgage servicing / finance industry would be a plus
