Title Director Applications
Description Are you a product developer that loves to write code and build new applications? Do you enjoy collaborating with other great developers? Do you have a high level of technical and business acumen? We’re looking for director of product development that exhibits leadership characteristics and who can raise the team to the next level.
You will have responsibility to direct the implementation of the information systems strategy set forth by Senior Management.
•Interface with senior management to determine strategic direction and business goals.
•Select and implement appropriate business systems applications to meet the business goals.
•Define and implement standard system development methods, policies, and procedures.
•Define and implement appropriate data maintenance procedures to ensure consistent use of information across the organization.
•Develop a standard method of support for end-users.
•Ensure appropriate management for implementation of business systems within the organization.
•Develop a consistent business systems infrastructure, which supports all levels of the organization.
•Ensure IS staff is aware of current business goals and the technology to support those goals.
•Maintain the morale and teamwork of the IS staff.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree, 10 plus years, management developing and implementing information systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Masters of Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related Field and an additional 5 years management developing and implementing information systems in a healthcare setting. Management of healthcare systems development and implementations preferred.
Recent use of current engineering practices, such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and pair programming
Proficiency in multiple object oriented languages.
Hands-on use of development principles such as SOLID and DRY.
Requirements definition, decomposition, design verification and the use of system engineering methods and tools.
Previous experience in an environment where you helped to deliver highly frequent iterations with adaptive, business-driven planning and release cadence
Participation in software craftsmanship communities, where you share your experiences and learning with your peers
Strong understanding of the Healthcare Industry and the technology available to support its business needs.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of the appropriate interaction of information systems and business.
Working knowledge of UNIX, PC Networks and business applications.
