Role: VP of Sales, Higher Education
Location: Remote
Compensation: Highly Competitive, base up to $150K plus another $150K+ in performance targets, potential exceeding $300K. 
Job Type: Full Time/Perm

Key Responsibilities

  1. Motivate and inspire a national team of RD’s and AE’s covering Higher Education accounts globally
  2. Define GTM strategy/playbooks to acquire new logos and expand our business across divisions/functions
  3. Accurately plan for and forecast sophisticated, long-term sales cycles which includes net new and expansion opportunities
  4. Partner with marketing, SDR's, pre-sales, sales ops, professional services, and customer success teams to align go-to-market message and execution
  5. Work closely with our product team to help influence & shape product/offering direction
  6. Hire & on-board new RD’s and AE's to continue expanding the team and delivering results

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  1. 12+ years of proven results, with 8 of those years managing national SaaS sales teams. Experience in being a 2nd level leader.
  2. History of managing teams selling to mid sized higher education accounts & closing $100K-$1M+ACVs
  3. Experience defining a sales strategy and motivating teams to execute upon that strategy
  4. Operational rigor – hold your team accountable for operational excellence in CRM hygiene, forecasting, and tracking to KPIs
  5. Pedigree of working deals across different buyers, faculties, and seniority levels
  6. Prior ownership of acquiring new logos as well as expanding existing accounts
  7. Demonstrated skill in coaching RD’s and AE’s and leaders to deliver peak performance
  8. Gravitas — personal presence and ability to own the room with prospects/customers; with the ability to roll sleeves up to help the team win
  9. Solid skill set in navigating legal, security, and procurement organizations
  10. Solid references that talk to ability to work well across internal functions and use available resources proactively
  11. A builder mentality; easily able to handle a fast paced, hyper-growth culture while keeping a steady hand to drive team’s success
  12. Talent magnet — demonstrated history of hiring top talent and working with them at successive companies
  13. Experience selling to higher education institutions a plus
