Junior DevOps and Systems Engineer

Our Fort Lauderdale area based client is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer with a strong System Administration background responsible for supporting the IT Department.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of DevOps and be a proficient Systems Engineer, capable of supporting the best practices, and associated technologies. Experience with both Linux and VMware is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing deployment and infrastructure automation solutions
  • Build and maintain tools and critical infrastructures that support the business’ technology platforms
  • Working closely with other technical teams in deployment and support production systems
  • Develop automated scripts for building and deploying QA and production environments
  • Installs, configures, administers corporate systems, including databases

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or similar work experience
  • Proficient in creating scripts to automate processes using Ruby, Python, Bash, PowerShell and/or similar
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps with an understanding DevOps tools
  • Experience with VMware
  • Good understanding of event-driven-scaling, infrastructure automation solutions and tools
  • Experienced in Linux
  • Familiar with data access and database connectivity tools and techniques.
  • Experience with SQL
