Job of the Week: Contract – Enterprise Cloud Technical Lead – Miami, Florida
Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate is a passionate, persuasive, articulate Cloud professional capable of quickly establishing interest and credibility in how to design, deploy and operate cloud based architectures.
- They will have experience migrating companies into the cloud.
- Their role will be to understand the businesses current and future resource requirements,
- Implement the migration of in-house datacenter infrastructure to the cloud or hybrid solution.
- Technical cloud/hybrid architectural knowledge is required for the design of production, staging, QA and development infrastructures running in a 24×7 environments and meeting business objectives and client SLA’s.
- Understanding various cloud technologies with a demonstrable deep knowledge of Azure, AWS or other major cloud providers,
- The ability to articulate a direction that maximizes resilience and scalability of production systems while reducing overall expense to the organization.
- Consideration of best of breed components is encouraged where it makes business sense.
- Leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies including implementation of cloud/hybrid solutions within in large regulated enterprise environments.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure, or other similar certifications.
- Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications desired.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years’ experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect, with focus on cloud, server, storage and networking.
- 4+ years’ experience working with enterprise applications, solutions and data center infrastructures.
- 10+ years’ experience with Microsoft server operating systems.
- Experience delivering with a distributed team.
- Actual cloud consulting experience desired.
- Azure based cloud architecture and migration skills and experience required.
- AWS, Google,VMWare or other cloud and related technology architecture knowledge and experience required to create comprehensive strategy and roadmap.
