ITProCamp survey of South Florida IT Community Professionals Shows Strengthening Market

SherlockTech Staffing (www.sherlocktech.com) once again renews its deep bond with the South Florida IT community by bringing you the 3rd Annual South Florida ITProCamp.

Miami, FLA — A survey of over 400 South Florida IT professionals and companies conducted by SherlockTech Staffing ahead of the upcoming South Florida ITProCamp being held on Saturday, July 13th at Keiser University Fort Lauderdale campus, reveals a strengthening IT sector.

Fifty-eight percent of those polled indicated they are either hiring or planning new hires during the last half of 2013. This supports the 57 percent polled during SherlockTech’s ITPalooza event held in December 2012 who indicated that they would either hire or plan new hires during 2013

Also up from last year, 69 percent of individuals polled indicated they would be interested in new positions through 2013, this indicates a higher confidence rate among IT workers and should result in a more competitive market for job seekers.

“Once again we see demand outstripping supply in the hot South Florida IT market,” said Alex Funkhouser, CEO of Miami Beach based IT recruiting firm SherlockTech Staffing. “We have developed a deep relationship with the South Florida IT community over the last 15 years by managing and participating in hundreds of local events and user groups.  This gives us unique insights and access to candidates and organizations, enabling us to offer unprecedented candidate matches.” Continued Funkhouser.
