The Fort Lauderdale area ranked No. 2 and Miami ranked No. 4 on CBRE’s list of tech talent momentum markets, a measurement of the change in tech job growth.
The report found that tech job creation grew faster in the past two years (2015-2016) compared with the prior two-year period (2013-2014) in 28 of the 50 markets. The Miami area’s tech talent pool grew 22.8 percent from 2015 to 2016, up from 3.7 percent in 2013-2014, while Fort Lauderdale’s talent pool grew 21.3 percent, after falling 2.1 percent in 2013-2014, the report found.
