The executive director is in charge of all logistics involved with running, organizing, and facilitating events and initiatives. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
: Act as the point of contact between all members, sponsors and the industry community at large
: Undertake the tasks of receiving calls, take messages and routing correspondence. Handle requests and queries appropriately and timely
: Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system
: Organize events (Coordination with hotels, colleges, meeting places to procure space & all other event details)
: Order, Pay and evaluate all catering and other event functions
: Maintain schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences
: Completes projects by working through teams; following up on results.
: Timely production of reports by collecting and analyzing information. (ie – financial data)
: Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
: Maintains professional and technical networking as well as establishing personal networks by participating in other organization events
: Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
: Continuous improvement
: Aid in the management of the board, committees and members

Desired Qualifications
: Excellent knowledge of MS Office
: Proficiency in English, Bilingual with Spanish is a plus
: Exemplary planning and time management skills
: Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
: High level verbal and written communications skills
: Discretion and confidentiality
: High School degree; additional qualification as personal assistant would be considered an advantage

Compensation and expected hours
: Cell Phone
: $40,000/year; paid bi-weekly
: 40 hours per week
: Commissions from sales can be negotiated should the applicant be interested
