Manager, Human Resources

Manages the Human Resources business area with a generalist scope including functions of legal compliance, recruiting and employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, setting and maintaining policies and procedures, and organizational development by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established corporate goals and objectives. Implements programs to ensure attainment of strategic business plan for growth and maintenance of a productive and rewarding work environment is achieved. Provides direction and structure for operating units. Participates in developing policy and strategic plans. Supervises support staff. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Prerequisites/Necessary Experience:
• BA/BS in HR with 5 to 10 years HR coordination/management experience or equivalent work experience within an R&D energy/high-tech environment
• Superb organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and insure that the key and critical HR processes are executed in an efficient manner
• Proven high performer in a fast-paced, high change environment, and do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Strong attention to details with excellent implementation/project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to create and develop new/alternative HR programs and initiatives; requires well-developed presentation and facilitation skills
• Excellent fact-finding/creativity, decision-making skills to analyze issues and make recommendations
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated application of sound judgment and discretion including a high respect for confidentiality
• Experience in coaching and counseling employees
• Ability to effectively partner with senior management
• Ability to provide leadership and direction
• Fluent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,
