Our Miami based client is looking for a Business Analyst with 3-5 years experience to become a  critical component in the launch and management of cutting edge client facing digital media solutions.   As part of the digital media team, the Business Analyst will drive change in the distribution of media though the creation of “first of its kind” technologies.  The primary functions of the role will include needs analysis, requirements gathering, documentation of the processes, communication with stakeholders and interacting with vendors and internal technical teams.  This company delivers "state of the art" broadcast & streaming media solutions to an international audience.

 

Responsibilities  

• Deliver the Business Requirements, Requirement Specifications, Solution Design, UI Design/Prototypes) and QA artifacts (Test Scripts)

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing – capture and track defects

• Troubleshoot, fix glitches and/or coordinate with external providers the resolution of issues.

 

Skills and Experience

• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent

• 3-5 years experience working as a Business Analyst in the broadcast industry

• Has served as a business analyst through 2 or more full lifecycle projects

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in Media related Business Information Systems development and implementation

• 3 – 5  years’ experience in requirements and workflow analysis

*****• Background in broadcast, streaming media, content delivery networks, asset management, TV everywhere, and billing system authentication****

 

Previous experience in any of the following areas:

o Streaming media or encoding technologies

o Media applications for mobile, web or other smart devices

o Broadcast workflows

o Digital Media technology

o TV Everywhere

o OTT (over-the-top)

 

 

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese & English—a plus (bilingual a plus but not a requirement)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation

• Detail-oriented

• Document innovative solutions using flowcharts, design documents, data models, risk analysis

• Previous UI/UX design experience, with ability to create mockups and wire frames

• Comfortable with MS SQL queries

• Proven knowledge of Rich Media Content Management Applications, Digital Asset Management, or Video Asset Management Systems

• Familiarity with metadata needs in a media or broadcast organization

• Specifications documentation; Experience drafting RFI/RFP based on needs analysis and expected technology capability
