Job Title: Vendor Risk Management Officer

Description:

SherlockTalent is looking for a talented Vendor Risk Management Officer who will be responsible for supervise the end-to-end engagement process with vendors, risk management, project management, cyber security IT, audits and other tasks in this fast-paced institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and updates the company’s vendor risk management program
  • Creates and keeps a rigorous schedule of third party assessments, performance, risk issues and scorecards
  • Manages and approves the “authorized vendor” policy and procedures
  • Develops, manages and promotes improved vendor negotiation, contract review, and cross-corporate communications
  • Create improvement plans or exit activities as needed
  • Enforces vendor or partner compliance with negotiated service levels
  • Mitigates corporate risk by negotiating improved contract terms and managing the corporate vendor risk management program and policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of business, products, and systems to ensure effective use of vendor and procurement services and ensures goals are met within a timely manner
  • Monitors and evaluates the effect of legislation and case law regarding terms and conditions in applicable jurisdictions and reviews research with legal or other industry experts
  • Ensures that the Terms & Conditions of the Contracts are being met.
  • Responsible of periodic business reviews and progress reports, including risk dashboards and other vendor risk and performance metrics and refers risk issues directly to designated committees.
  • Develops, approves, and manages form legal agreements, non-standard agreements, proposal requests, and specific legal terms and conditions and renewals
  • Monitors and evaluates the effect of legislation and case law regarding terms and conditions in applicable jurisdictions and reviews research with legal or other industry experts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, CS, Finance, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in progressively responsible positions in corporate procurement or equivalent work experience, including at least 3 years of complex vendor negotiations experience, 3 years of drafting and/or reviewing complex commercial agreements, and a minimum of 3 years or significant project management responsibilities required
  • Over three years working experience with information security, audit, compliance and/or related knowledge preferably in banking or a highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience in leading projects and multi-tasking with diverse groups and locations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) or similar software
  • Knowledge of or ability to use financial software and systems
  • Must have the ability to effectively deal with changing situation, in addition to recognizing, identifying and interpreting a variety of work such as instructions, forms, and reports 
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, risk assessment, and policy writing
