Performance Tuning for Developers with Pam Lahoud and Jorge Segarra, Microsoft

Abstract: Why is the DBA yelling at me again? Where’s that “go fast” button in SQL Server? What’s an execution plan? In this session we’ll answer these questions and more as we take you through concepts and processes to help you, as the database developer, create functional and highly performant code from the jump!

Bios: Pam has been with Microsoft for 10 years specializing in SQL Server Performance Tuning and optimization, most recently as a consultant for the Premier Developer group. She is a SQL Server MCM with over 15 years’ experience working with SQL Server. Pam’s background as a .NET application developer and database administrator gives her a broad range of experience which she is passionate about sharing with customers in the field through workshops, performance troubleshooting, design reviews, etc.

Jorge Segarra, aka SQLChicken, is an author, blogger, speaker, (former) SQL Server MVP and community volunteer currently working as a Sr Consultant for Microsoft in Premier Support for Developers group.
