Becoming certified in SQL Server is a great career move and can be very rewarding for a new or seasoned database professional.  This session will provide you with an overview of the SQL Server Certification program, including the changes made to the program for certification on SQL Server 2012 and 2014.  You’ll also discover the benefits of becoming  certified, and some of the best ways in which to do so.  You’ll leave the session armed with great tips and tricks that the presenter has used for passing the exams on the first try.  If you are thinking about getting certified in SQL Server in the near future, then this session is definitely for you.

Marilyn Rousseau has 26 years of technology experience and has been working with the Microsoft SQL Server stack for 20 years.  She’s been an active PASS  volunteer since 1999, and has been involved in the South Florida user group community for almost 10 years.  She has served on the board of the South Florida SQL Server User Group (SFSSUG) for 3 years, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Microsoft Business Intelligence User Group (MSBISF).  She is passionate about SQL Server and enjoys evangelizing about the product.  Marilyn currently works as a Corporate Database Manager at Baptist Health South Florida. .  She is certified as an MCSA on SQL Server 2012.  Marilyn holds a BS in Computer Science, and a Masters in Business Administration.  She is currently working on a Doctorate degree in Adult Education and HR Development at FIU.  She can be reached on Twitter at @sqldudette or by email at sqldudette@gmail.com.
