  • This month we will take a good look at some topics that designers and front-end developers would especially enjoy.

Topic #1: (David Bisset) “Be a Part of Something Bigger: Get Involved with WordPress” When people talk about contributing to WordPress, you usually think of an experienced coder. But that shouldn’t be the case because ANYONE — especially those new to the WordPress Community — can be valuable. This talk will show the many different ways you can contribute back to the WordPress Community, why you should do it, and how it can improve your own skills and confidence.

Topic #2: (Robert Pearce) “Use Foundation to Incorporate Modern Web Elements into your Theme Development” – This is an expanded presentation based off of Robert’s 5 minute intro at our last meetup. If you’re interested in HTML/CSS or any front-end development technology, then you’ll find this interesting.

Topic #3: Our monthly “Top 9” presentation… recent plugins, themes, and links for the WordPress meetup group from the last 30 days.

There will also be special WordCamp Miami news, and a brief organizer’s meeting for those who want to stick around.

If you want to speak or give a 5 minute presentation, let us know and we can potentially add you to the list. ROOM NUMBER: 4030 (4th Floor)

Parking Pass: It’s coming. Check back.

As usual, please bring a contribution of $5 for pizza/drinks if you plan to partake.
