We’re very excited to give you an opportunity to try the HoloLens at the next dotNet Miami! Microsoft MVP Dwight Goins will be showing us how we can write applications for Microsoft’s newest technology, HoloLens. But he won’t be empty handed. Dwight will be bring a rare developer edition of the HoloLens and he want’s you to give it a spin. Yup, come see for yourself what the buzz is all about.

Location

We’ll be meeting at the Microsoft Innovation Center at Venture Hive. The Microsoft Innovation Center in Miami (MIC Miami) is a state-of-the-art technology facility open to students, software developers, academic faculty, entrepreneurs, and startups for collaboration and skills development. Microsoft Innovation Center at Venture Hive is located at 1010 NE 2nd Ave Miami, FL 33132. There’s limited parking in front of Venture Hive. If that lot is full there’s an empty lot directly behind the Venture Hive building.

And as always we’ll have prizes at the end of the meeting, including a free copy of Resharper from JetBrains!

Bio

Dwight Goins is the the Chief Algorithms Officer (CAO)  and Lead Emerging Experience Consultant at THOTH Speed Engineers, Inc located in Colorado Springs, CO. Dwight spends most of his time leading his team to implement Connected Systems and solutions using Agile methodologies with Fortune 500 clients such as AIG, JM Family, and Equinix. In his night life, he leads a team of developers creating medical based applications for Medical Cyber World, Inc. using unique implementations with IoT devices such as the Kinect for Windows, Raspberry Pi, Microsoft Band and Machine Learning. He is an avid Linux User (Gentoo being his favorite flavor), Open source contributor, as well as a InfoSec Certified Ethical Hacker Instructor. Along with Open source teaching, he maintains an active MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer) license, and holds the MCPD, MCSD, Windows 10 UWP Developer certifications, as well as a Certified Data Recovery Professional (CRDP) license. In his spare time he finds a way to take care of his 3 beloved daughters, wife, and extended family by constantly keeping them entertained through travelling, and family fun.
