Pete has 27 years of experience in the Marketing, Sales, Development, Implementation and Management of all types of Information Technologies. He is internationally regarded as a wireless pioneer having built the world’s first commercially viable Wireless ISP with over 500 antenna locations. Formally he was the CSO/CTO of one of the most successful SMB Focused Managed Security Service Company’s and managed the security for hundreds of clients. Steve Balmer presented him the “Microsoft Industry Solutions” Award at Comdex 2000 for the most innovative and advanced implementation of Microsoft applications for a large VoIP/CRM travel agent system. Pete has owned several Computer Networking Consulting Companies. He is currently the Vice President of the South Florida Information Systems Security Administrators after three years as President, VP on the Board of Directors of the FBI Infragard, a member of ISACA, Internet Coast, Honeynet Alliance, Computer Security Institute, IEEE, Secret Service Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force, EFF, Union of Concerned Scientists, and the Anti-phishing Working Group. Pete recently completed a chapter on Content Filtering for the college textbook: “Computer and Information Security.” Pete was most recently the VP of Security Engineering for Terremark Worldwide with responsibility for all Federal and Commercial Managed Security Consulting and Design. Terremark Worldwide is a leading Cloud Provider for the Federal Government, F1000 and Global companies concerned with security in their cloud. Pete evangelizes the CSA and CCSK frequently and often!

Albert Caballero

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Albert Caballero is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Trapezoid. As CTO, Albert oversees the implementation and development of Trapezoid’s overall security strategy. Internally, he works to advance the features, capabilities, and technologies of Trapezoid’s solutions and products. Externally, Albert applies his security architecture expertise to direct implementations for Trapezoid’s growing line-up of Global 2000 clients.

Throughout his ten year career,  Albert has gained hands-on experience designing and implementing controls for large scale data center and security operations. He has assisted commercial organizations and government agencies in achieving PCI, FISMA, DIACAP and ISO compliance standards in Cloud, Hosting and Collocation environments. Albert served as the Custom Security Engineering Manager at Terremark Worldwide, Inc. where he helped develop and manage the Security Operations Center. There, he deployed and integrated a wide array of security tools and technologies into their Cloud and Hosting platforms delivering 24hr managed security services. Albert has also served as the Technical Product Manager and was heavily involved in the product development of commercial SIEMs and host-based security products.

Albert has been published in several journals on security management, regulatory compliance and intrusion prevention. He also co-authored the Computer Information Security Handbook and has developed Virtualized Information Security Curriculum for large publishing houses. Albert currently holds many industry-leading security certifications, including CISSP, GCIA, CCSK, GSEC, CEH, and several others. Albert graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2007 with a degree in Information Security Management.
