Come join us and learn how to develop a solution that listens to your voice commands, translates them into text, and turns the text into commands that are received by a Raspberry PI robot car which carries them out. Source code from our session will be provided. Technology stack: Azure Speech API and Language Understanding Intelligent Services (LUIS) API, Azure Service Bus Queue, Windows Universal App, and Raspberry PI.
Speakers:
Jason Milgram is the Director of Software Development at Champion Solutions Group in Boca Raton, Florida. Jason has worked for clients such as IBM, the U.S. Department of Justice, FPL, Chase, PriceWaterhouse, Kodak and Iris Assoc. (creator of Lotus Notes). He was a sergeant in the US Army Reserve, serving from 1990 to 1998. Jason was educated at the University of Cincinnati, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Sloan School of Management. Jason presents on topics including Microsoft Azure, and launching a tech start-up and is a Microsoft Azure MVP.
Erick Bacallao is a Senior Software Engineer at Champion Solutions Group. Erick comes from Cuba where he won 2 national coding contests and graduated from the University of Havana with a degree in Computer Science. He has been coding since he was 10 years old, starting with Pascal, and now focused on .NET and Azure cloud computing. Erick has 5+ years of experience leading software developers.
