Customer-facing digital transformation is perhaps the most visible evidence of a company’s commitment to change. When we think about how our interaction with so many companies has changed over the past few years, we realize that much of that change is driven by digital transformation. A simple, but effective example is ‘package/parcel tracking’ as implemented by the large carriers like FedEx and USPS. It’s significant because it is an early example of how previously internal data is made publicly available. Another example is how FPL has integrated all a consumer’s data into one easy to manage dashboard accessible via a browser.
