A big Thank You! to everyone that signed up to speak at the Miami-Dade County Public Schools NAF student/industry conference. In my eight years of board membership, I’ve witnessed your contributions shape our next generation workforce.

Now we still need some more help feeding them – please consider a donation or sponsorship.

As CSA South Florida Chapter President and SFTA board member, I’m pleased to announce our  joint event with the SFTA this Thursday, April 24th taking place at the Tower Club, Fort Lauderdale.  Please visit the Registration Button below for more info.

Also this week, SherlockTech career advisers will be at the SFIMA / Pubcon Hiring Fair to help you explore your career opportunities.

The community has spoken, and we listened. This summit addresses the growing interest in software tools for Agile teams. What tools are out there, what do they do, and who is using them. Starting with Backlog management tools, and extended all the way through online collaboration tools, test automation, and continuous delivery tools. Expert speakers will present a day packed full of thought leadership and industry best practices. Additionally, each participating Tools company will have a table where you can interact, ask questions and see their Agile product.

TEDx Boca Raton – New Beginnings

TEDx Boca Raton – New Beginnings

SherlockTech is proud to announce our sponsorship of TEDx Boca Raton’s “New Beginnings” taking place at the Florida Atlantic University Theater on Friday, May 9th, 2014.

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading.” The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

What you’ll find at every TEDx event:

The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all TEDx events have several features in common.

  • TED’s celebrated format: A suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances (live, or just TEDTalks videos from TED.com) on a wide range of subjects to foster learning, inspiration and wonder — and to provoke conversations that matter
  • TEDTalks videos: A minimum of two pre-recorded talks from the acclaimed TEDTalks video series (these talks are available free on TED.com)
  • Bias-free programming: Lack of any commercial, religious or political agenda
